It took my mind some time to identify a topic that my body was willing to settle down and write.

As the 2024 Summer Olympic Games approach in Paris, my enthusiasm for athletics has never been higher. Firstly, it’s worth noting the significant achievement of the International Olympic Committee (IOC) in ensuring equal opportunities for female and male athletes at this year’s highly anticipated global event. Secondly, I share in the excitement of my fellow Jamaicans as we eagerly await the performances of our Track & Field athletes, particularly Jamaica’s own Sherika Jackson and Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce. And of course, I’m curious to see how Sha-carri Richardson will fare — she’s got a lot to show the world!

Women track and field athletes are set to be a highlight of the upcoming Paris Games, showcasing exceptional talent and fierce competition. Among the top contenders are Jamaican stars like Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce and Shericka Jackson, who have consistently dominated the sprints on the world stage. Their incredible speed and determination are expected to make a significant impact, inspiring young athletes globally. Adding to the excitement is the dynamic Sha’Carri Richardson from the USA, whose explosive performances and vibrant personality have captured the attention of fans worldwide. Together, these athletes symbolize the strength, skill, and spirit of women in track and field, promising thrilling races and memorable moments in Paris.

I’m flexing other creative muscles by launching my Many Notable Things Podcast. It is very minimalist in style and format. As it grows, I hope you join me on this journey. You can also find me on Amazon and Apple Podcasts.
